How to ask with this skill installed
Installing the skill gives your AI a method. Your request still has to provide the case-specific facts, constraints and expected output.
Describe the decision or deliverable, not just the topic.
Add source material, audience, limits and known facts.
Set format, quality criteria and checks.
When to use it
- A customer calls or submits an online request for a service appointment
- Rescheduling a customer due to parts delays or technician unavailability
- Building tomorrow's service schedule (daily dispatch planning)
- Managing a walk-in emergency repair alongside scheduled appointments
- Double-booking prevention when multiple customers want the same time slot
- Technician overload — need to redistribute work across the team
- Specialty service requiring a specific technician (transmission, diesel, EV-certified)
Mistakes to avoid
- Scheduling a major repair at the end of the day when the tech will rush to finish it — big jobs need morning slots with time to do them right
- Not checking parts availability before confirming an appointment — the worst customer experience is arriving for a scheduled appointment and being told "the part isn't here"
- Double-booking a technician (or assigning two jobs that overlap in the same bay) — always check bay AND tech availability simultaneously
- Scheduling a first-time customer for a complex diagnostic without building in extra time — unknowns always take longer on unfamiliar vehicles
- Not recording the correct mileage at service booking — the tech needs to know if the vehicle has 40,000 or 140,000 miles to diagnose correctly; mileage drives part selection and repair scope
