How to ask with this skill installed
Installing the skill gives your AI a method. Your request still has to provide the case-specific facts, constraints and expected output.
Describe the decision or deliverable, not just the topic.
Add source material, audience, limits and known facts.
Set format, quality criteria and checks.
When to use it
- A guest calls or emails to make a direct reservation
- A group booking request comes in (10+ rooms)
- An OTA reservation needs modification or cancellation
- A guest wants to change their reservation dates
- Managing an overbooking situation with active walking protocols
- Processing a no-show and the associated revenue recovery
- Setting and managing room inventory allocation across channels
Mistakes to avoid
- Releasing OTA inventory back to the OTA channel too early — when you release a room to Expedia and then a direct guest comes in at full rack rate, Expedia gets the booking and the commission; manage your channel mix proactively
- Not setting a firm cut-off date for group blocks — a group that commits to 20 rooms but releases all of them 2 weeks before arrival leaves you with 20 unsold rooms at the worst possible time; enforce the attrition clause
- Accepting a credit card without properly verifying its validity or the guest's identity — this is a PCI compliance issue and a fraud risk; follow your property's payment card handling procedures strictly
- Not documenting all reservation modifications — if a guest says "I moved my reservation to Friday" in a phone call and the front desk agent forgets to update it, you have a no-show on the original date and a walk situation on the new date; always send a written confirmation after any modification
