How to ask with this skill installed
Installing the skill gives your AI a method. Your request still has to provide the case-specific facts, constraints and expected output.
Describe the decision or deliverable, not just the topic.
Add source material, audience, limits and known facts.
Set format, quality criteria and checks.
When to use it
- Designing a new course or program from scratch
- Restructuring or improving an existing curriculum
- Mapping assessments to learning objectives (backward design)
- Sequencing content for progressive skill development
- Creating a course syllabus and session plans
- Aligning curriculum with accreditation or competency requirements
Mistakes to avoid
- Starting with content instead of outcomes: A curriculum built around "what to cover" instead of "what students should do" leads to unfocused teaching
- No prerequisite mapping: Teaching advanced concepts before foundational skills are in place — students get lost
- All lectures, no practice: Teaching is not learning. Students need to DO, not just hear
- Assessing memory instead of application: Multiple-choice quizzes about concepts instead of problem sets that require applying them
- No formative feedback: Waiting until the final exam to assess progress — too late to help students improve
- Rigid sequencing: Not building in review cycles — new learning without spaced repetition evaporates
