Cuándo usarla
- Building tomorrow's housekeeping daily assignment sheet
- Managing housekeeping staffing on a reduced-staff day or high-occupancy day
- Coordinating a deep cleaning or spring cleaning schedule across the property
- Handling a last-minute large group checkout with compressed timelines
- Managing long-stay guest cleaning schedules (every 3rd day or per guest preference)
- Coordinating between housekeeping and engineering for maintenance-related cleaning
- Running end-of-day room status reconciliation
Errores que conviene evitar
- Assigning rooms to housekeepers before confirming which ones are actually vacant — a room that shows "VC/O" on the PMS report but where the guest hasn't actually left yet creates an awkward situation for everyone
- Not having a deep-clean protocol for long-vacant rooms — a room that hasn't been sold in 3+ days (VC for extended period) needs more than a standard clean; it needs airing out, furniture wipe-down, and inspection for pests
- Using the same cleaning time estimate for all room types — a suite or connecting room takes significantly longer; underestimating causes systematic late readiness on these rooms
- Not tracking "rooms per housekeeper per day" as a productivity metric — industry benchmark is 14-18 rooms/day per housekeeper for a standard room; if your numbers are consistently below this, investigate (staff shortage, rooms that take too long, or under-reporting)
- Allowing housekeeping carts to run low during peak turnover — a housekeeper who runs out of toilet paper or towels mid-room has to leave the floor to resupply, costing 15-20 minutes of productive time; par levels and resupply logistics must be managed actively
