How to ask with this skill installed
Installing the skill gives your AI a method. Your request still has to provide the case-specific facts, constraints and expected output.
Describe the decision or deliverable, not just the topic.
Add source material, audience, limits and known facts.
Set format, quality criteria and checks.
When to use it
A podcaster wants to grow their ratings and reviews — the #1 factor for algorithmic recommendation in Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Reviews signal quality to both platforms and potential new listeners who see them before subscribing.
Common triggers:
- Launching a new podcast — start collecting reviews immediately
- Stagnant growth — reviews plateaued
- Post-episode CTA — every episode should mention reviews
- Guest requests — get them to share the show too
- Review campaign — dedicated push to boost ratings
- New season launch — reviews signal momentum
- Competitor analysis — checking what top shows do differently
What this skill does NOT do:
- This is not review monitoring or response (that's community management)
- This is not fake review generation (never buy fake reviews)
- This is not Apple/Spotify account setup
- This is not incentive programs for reviews (legal concerns)
Mistakes to avoid
- Asking too early — Before listeners know if they like you
- Asking too aggressively — Sounds desperate, not genuine
- Not providing direct links — Make it easy — friction = no reviews
- Ignoring negative reviews — Signals you don't care
- Only asking once — Mention it regularly but lightly
- Buying reviews — Violates ToS and destroys credibility
- Responding defensively to negatives — Never fight with reviewers
- Asking for 5 stars without reading — Undermines trust
