Installing the skill gives your AI a method. Your request still has to provide the case-specific facts, constraints and expected output.
Describe the decision or deliverable, not just the topic.
Add source material, audience, limits and known facts.
Set format, quality criteria and checks.
When to use it
- Managing a fully booked dinner service with multiple seatings
- Handling a walk-in situation during peak hours
- A VIP guest is arriving and you need to ensure a flawless experience
- A guest has a severe allergy or special request that requires kitchen coordination
- Rescheduling or cancelling a large party
- Investigating and following up on a no-show
- Building a seating chart for a 7 PM rush
Mistakes to avoid
- Seating a large party in a small table — forcing a 6-top into a table that seats 4 creates a terrible experience for the guests and the servers; respect the space constraints
- Not communicating dietary restrictions to the kitchen until the guests are seated — allergy information must reach the kitchen before orders are taken, not at the moment of ordering
- Forgetting to check the reservation notes before seating — a regular guest who was promised "the table by the window" gets seated in the back and immediately feels like they were forgotten; always check notes
- Accepting large party reservations without a deposit or card on file — for parties of 8+, a credit card or deposit protects you from no-shows that can cost $1,000+
