How to ask with this skill installed
Installing the skill gives your AI a method. Your request still has to provide the case-specific facts, constraints and expected output.
Describe the decision or deliverable, not just the topic.
Add source material, audience, limits and known facts.
Set format, quality criteria and checks.
When to use it
- User asks for PEAD screening or post-earnings drift analysis
- User wants to find earnings gap-up stocks with follow-through potential
- User requests red candle breakout patterns after earnings
- User asks for weekly earnings momentum setups
- User provides earnings-trade-analyzer JSON output for further screening
What you need first
- FMP API key (set
FMP_API_KEYenvironment variable or pass--api-key)
export FMP_API_KEY=your_api_key_here
- Free tier (250 calls/day) is sufficient for default screening
- For Mode B: earnings-trade-analyzer JSON output file with schema_version "1.0"
Mistakes to avoid
- Chasing gap-ups: Entering immediately after the gap up instead of waiting for the pullback — most gap-ups fade within days
- No volume confirmation: Entering on breakout without checking volume — false breakouts have low volume
- Position sizing too large: PEAD trades can gap down on next earnings — never risk >2% per position
- Ignoring sector context: A breakout in a dying sector is much less reliable than one in a strong sector
- Holding through next earnings: PEAD trades should close before the next earnings report — earnings risk is binary
