How to ask with this skill installed
Installing the skill gives your AI a method. Your request still has to provide the case-specific facts, constraints and expected output.
Describe the decision or deliverable, not just the topic.
Add source material, audience, limits and known facts.
Set format, quality criteria and checks.
When to use it
- Preparing to migrate data from an old CRM or spreadsheet into a new CRM
- You have a list of leads from a trade show, webinar, or purchased list that needs cleaning before import
- Your CRM has accumulated duplicate contacts and you need to find and merge them
- A bulk data import failed because of formatting issues (inconsistent state names, phone formats)
- You need to audit your current CRM data quality before building automation (garbage in, garbage out)
- A CRM migration is happening and you need to clean before moving
Mistakes to avoid
- Importing without testing first — a single formatting error in a batch import can corrupt 1,000 records; always test with 10-20 records before committing
- Using the "update all" feature without understanding what it overwrites — this is the CRM equivalent of "select all → delete" — a common and catastrophic mistake
- Merging company records without reviewing the associated contacts — merging two companies that have the same name but different customer bases in your CRM will merge unrelated deals and contacts
- Keeping old/outdated fields on records after migrating to new ones — fields that are no longer used become noise and confuse future users; deprecate them (hide from layouts) rather than deleting them (which breaks historical reports)
- Assuming that imported data is correct just because it came from a "verified" vendor — purchased lead lists have 15-40% error rates; always validate before importing into a CRM that affects customer relationships
