How to ask with this skill installed
Installing the skill gives your AI a method. Your request still has to provide the case-specific facts, constraints and expected output.
Describe the decision or deliverable, not just the topic.
Add source material, audience, limits and known facts.
Set format, quality criteria and checks.
When to use it
- A new patient calls to book their first appointment
- An existing patient needs to schedule a follow-up
- Rescheduling due to provider unavailability or patient request
- Managing a provider's daily schedule with new patients, follow-ups, and procedures
- Running the " schedule" for the next day or week
- Patient cancels and you need to fill the slot from the waitlist
- Managing appointment reminders to reduce no-show rates
Mistakes to avoid
- Booking new patients in follow-up slots — new patient appointments have different time requirements; a follow-up slot will run over and push the rest of the schedule
- Not verifying insurance at scheduling — billing a patient who turns out to be self-pay or out-of-network after the visit creates a collection nightmare
- Failing to note patient preferences (morning/afternoon, specific provider) — ignoring these preferences results in more cancellations later
- Booking procedures without confirming the room/equipment is available — some procedure rooms are shared; always confirm room availability before confirming the appointment
- Not documenting the source of the appointment (referral, self-scheduled, PCP referral) — this data is critical for understanding your patient acquisition and referral patterns
